Distribution or supply chain failure – With consolidation and closures of small time players, companies that rely on such suppliers might soon be faced with a situation that there suppliers are no more. And if they turn to large suppliers, then the costs of production might see a negative shift. 9. Third-party liability 10. Failure to attract or retain top talent – Even though job losses are mounting, the number one People risk is the failure to attract or retain top talent. This is because in any economic cycle top talent is always hard to find. And when the top performers have been attracted, retained, groomed, there is so much money that has been spent on them that the departure leaves a massive financial loss for the company.
