It helps improve the security of those companies that are involved in the supply chain with respect to transactions with USA. IT helps to mitigate terrorism risks.
Requirements for C-TPAT
The C-TPAT / CTPAT requires all Third Party Logistics providers (3PL) to have documented procedures and policies to screen customers and for maintaining adequate security programs.
