A blockchain is a shared transactions ledger that can be accessed by and among multiple parties, using cryptography and peer-to-peer technology to secure data into blocks and store them in an immutable chain of transactions, without any trusted central authority. It is a subset of distributed ledger technology or “DLT,” which broadly speaking is a type of database technology that can be shared and made accessible to multiple parties. Broadly, there are two categories of Block Chain – Public and Private type of Block Chain.
